LiSA Conference

The Light in South America (LiSA) Conference 2025 is a landmark international event co-organized by the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) and the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). LiSA 2025 aims to unite global leaders in optics, photonics, and interdisciplinary research to address pressing challenges and advance sustainable development across the Global.

Scheduled for October 12th–18th, 2025, the conference will be hosted at the Windsor Barra Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a vibrant hub of culture and scientific exchange. The program will spotlight transformative advancements in critical fields such as biophotonics, artificial intelligence-driven photonics, green energy, and quantum sciences and technologies, with a focus on bridging innovation gaps and fostering equitable progress.

Building on the legacy of international cooperation, LiSA 2025 aspires to become a cornerstone for scientific collaboration, driving solutions that harness light-based technologies to improve healthcare, energy sustainability, and digital resilience worldwide. This conference not only celebrates scientific excellence but also embodies a shared commitment to creating a brighter, more interconnected future through the universal language of light.
